Stowe Australia engaged MDA to design the high and low voltage infrastructure and the emergency and exit lighting for the Westfield Shopping Centre being constructed in Coomera town centre, Qld.
The projects consists of the basement, on ground and above ground carparking areas; Level 1 and Level 2 speciality shops and restaurants, kiosks, mini majors and major tenancies as well as the cinema Complex on Level 2, and the Level 3 plant room and service areas.
Scope of services consisted of:
Emergency & Exit Lighting
- Review Emergency and Exit Lighting systems to confirm compliance with Contract documentation, Fire Engineering Report (if any) NCC 2016 & AS 2293.
- Provide mark-ups/reports detailing any non-compliances.
- Upon satisfactory compliant provide RPEQ Certification on a Form 15.
High Voltage
- Provide after diversity maximum demand calculations for the project.
- Review and verify HVAC Electrical loads and provide diversified load calculation.
- Review and verify Stowe’s HV Switchgear design and equipment selections
- Review and verify Stowe’s HV transformer design and equipment selections
- Review and verify Stowe’s HV Cabling & Termination design and material selections.
- Review and verify Stowe’s earthing designs
- Review and verify Stowe’s HV protection setting calculations.
- Review and verify Stowe’s HV drawings and specifications.
- Provide mark-ups/reports detailing any non-compliances.
- Upon satisfactory compliant provide RPEQ Certification on a form 15.
