Project: Spicers Hidden Vale Homestead Rebuild

After a devastating fire destroyed the historical Homestead and Homage Restaurant at Spicers Hidden Vale in April 2018, the 18 month rebuild began. The rebuild consisted of the following:
• Reception
• Amenities
• Back of House areas
• Bar
• Lounge
• Private Dining Room/Boardroom
• Restaurant with capacity up to 80 guests
• Large Function room
• Commercial kitchen and associated storage area
• Wrap around verandas
• Loading Dock
A beautiful replica of the early 20th century Homestead, surrounded by restored Queenslander-style cottages, re-opened in February 2020. The Homestead features 29 rooms and suites, private dining room, event spaces, bar and several lounge spaces, floor-to-ceiling rock fireplaces, verandas and gardens. Incorporated into the build is a 3,000 bottle cellar, which features a room for pre-dinner tastings of Australian wine and French Champagnes.
Spicers Retreats commissioned MDA Consulting Engineers to provide the following building services components of the rebuild project:
