Event Cinemas have over fifty movie theatre venues around Australia, many located in large shopping centres. Despite admissions decline, Event Cinemas has continued to experience growth offering premium experiences such as Gold Class.
MDA has provided design services for a few of Event Cinemas’ new locations for Hydraulic and Fire Protection services.
Works for Hydraulic services included:
- Design Hydraulic services in accordance with NCC, AS/NZS: 3500 and Local Authority requirements.
- Drainage for
- Sewer connection.
- Air Conditioning equipment to tundish drains.
- Cinema food preparation areas.
- Metering of water services
- Hot water plant selection (includes solar, electric or gas hot water investigations)
- Supply of hot and cold water fixtures.
- The supply of water, sanitary, natural gas and tradewaste to kitchen areas.
- Hydrant System connection and location of hydrant in accordance with AS2419
- Connection to centres fire services and locations of Fire hose reels in compliance with complying with AS2441.
The works for Fire Protection services were to provide sprinkler protection within in BCA requirements.
