Ocean, the most iconic Surfers Paradise beachfront landmark, is under construction. When complete, Ocean is set to be one of the tallest residential towers in Australia, rising 76 storeys and 252 metres skyward. This stunning Meriton super tower and thriving new precinct will be home to 262 bespoke apartments and 446 luxury 5-star hotel suites, a vibrant retail precinct, childcare centre, cafes and a purpose-built restaurant with breathtaking views of the ocean.
The demolition of the existing premises commenced in early 2017, including decommissioning the existing on-site substation and providing a new substation to service the proposed new residential tower to be built on this site, Ocean, scheduled for completion in 2022. MDA Consulting Engineers were commissioned by the Meriton Group to provide the Energex Substation Design, Documentation and Approval Submissions.
