MDA Consulting Engineers were engaged by BDA Architecture for the following Consulting Engineering Design Services:
Mechanical Consulting Services
- To include individual ventilation systems, exhaust for toilets re BCA requirements, split air-cooled, air con system in all areas, all ductwork thermally & acoustically lined.
Electrical & Communication Consulting Services
- Substation connection, new main switchboard, distribution boards, submains to building distribution boards, mechanical services equipment & hydraulic services, power & permanently connected outlets to all building common areas, power outlets to all areas
Lighting
- Interior lighting T5 florescent consistent with BCA SJ Energy requirements, dimming lighting controls sleeping areas, landscape lighting, carpark lighting, security lighting to buildings, emergency evacuation lighting.
Communication & Security Systems
- Provide optical fibre cable & building communications racks, Cat 6 wiring & RJ45 outlets to required areas, Provision for ADSL, Audio intercom system for after hour’s access, TV outlets in required rooms, CCTV & security systems to internal & external areas.
Hydraulic Services
- Sanitary drainage within building, drainage from air conditioning equipment tundish drains, tradewatse drainage, (Cold, Hot Warm) Rainwater & non-potable water, backflow prevention, landscape irrigation watering system, Hot water plant selection (incl. solar, electric or gas hot water investigations), Gutter, down pipe sizing, stormwater drainage, Roofwater storage & rainwater service supplying external hose cocks & internal fixtures, Hydrant & Fire hose reel system compliance.
