Project: CSSD Enoggera Health Facility, Gallipoli Barracks
Client: CV Services Group
Architect: DesignInc and Billiard Leece Partnership
Value: $212 million
The $212 million JHC Garrison Facilities Upgrade project is a significant achievement for both Joint Health Command (JHC) and the Department of Defence’s Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Branch. In part, this is due to the unprecedented development of a national healthcare delivery model, which provides the Australian Defence Force (ADF) with significant ongoing operational cost savings.
The ADF’s Joint Health Command (JHC) manages on-base medical services to ensure personnel are fit and free from illness to be able to perform effectively under operational conditions. The Garrison Health Facilities Upgrade Project better enables the Joint Health Command to deliver nationally consistent healthcare facilities for Australian Defence personnel.
At its core, the project aims to provide contemporary, fit-for-purpose healthcare facilities for approximately 26,000 (or 46% of) ADF personnel around Australia Through the construction of new facilities and the reconfiguration, expansion or renovation of existing buildings at 12 priority sites across Australia.
The ADF plays a critical and important role in Australia’s security and peacetime services. It’s made up of personnel who, each and every day, make a commitment to the security and peace of Australia.
CV Services Group engaged MDA Consulting Engineers to provide the Hydraulic and Wet & Dry Fire Services design components for the project.
